Top 5 Batting Drills for Better Timing and Balance
Training

Better batting usually comes from better repetition, not from chasing complicated fixes.
Start with shadow work to groove shape and tempo. Then move to drop feeds and underarm deflections that force you to watch the ball closely and stay balanced at contact. Single-stump target work is also useful because it rewards straight shape and disciplined bat path.
Reaction drills with tennis balls help sharpen decision-making, while throwdown drills on different lengths teach players how to transfer timing into more realistic situations.
Keep the drills simple, focused, and regular. Timing is built through clarity and repetition.
